THE WICKEDNESS OF HARBORING RESENTMENT

December 18, 2015 by Ken Blue

WOLF

By Ken Blue

This article is a response to self-appointed “evangelist” Jerry Kaifetz. Since he cut off my ability to respond to him in private on “messaging,” we will post my last response, which I am sure he never received. His disdain for independent fundamental churches has embittered his spirit, and he could not refrain from showing his contempt for them and me. My only reason for posting this response is because of his “hit and run” tactic after his vile attack.

Mr. Kaifetz, You demonstrated your unwillingness to face the truth when you said, “Exactly what I expected,” and then cut me off of your Facebook, so I could not respond to your vile accusations. You should have expected that response because you set the table.

Concerning you calling me a hypocrite, because I pastored, and had a son smoking pot is like the kettle calling the pot black. You never had the courtesy to ask if I was aware of it or not. I was not. You may say, “Well, you should have known.” Well, let’s see how that plays out, Mr. Kaifetz. Were the Wilsons Hypocrites for teaching Sunday school, and preaching in Junior Church while their son was smoking pot? Have you confronted them about that, or do you only target pastors?  Also, you were a member of First Baptist, and you must have known the pastor’s son was having sex with every girl he could corrupt. If you did know it, were you a hypocrite to be a part of that ministry? You boast about how heavily involved you were in the church. If you didn’t know about the immorality, why not?

Also, for you to blame me for the drinking problem of their son is a demonstration of your duplicity. You have an agenda in your attack on fallen pastors…its call ego, and money.  Perhaps if enough pastors fall, you may become famous.

Your comment “You are the one who is unquestionably incapable of receiving advice,” and “You will never understand what I have to say to you,” only reveals your pride and arrogance. What advice did you send? Your article was an attack from beginning to the end. Wisdom will not die with you, so don’t pride yourself beyond your limits.

Also, for someone to dig up an offense of over 35 years ago, demonstrates their inability to practice 1 Cor. 13.

  • “Love Does Not Keep Notes on Past Offenses

Paul tells us that love “does not take into account a wrong suffered.” I like what Morris writes on this point: “Paul’s next point is that love does not, so to speak, go around with a little black book making a note of every evil thing. ‘Love keeps no score of wrongs,’ says Paul (the NEB translation). We find it hard to forget it when people offend us, often storing up such grievances.” Some saints seem to have photographic memories when it comes to offenses against them. One little irritation brings to mind an entire file of previous offenses, carefully annotated and documented. This kind of mental bookkeeping only serves to fuel resentment and certainly does not facilitate true reconciliation.” That would be you, Mr. Kaifetz.

cigarettes

By Ken Blue

(Note: This poem may help some of you with a

New Year’s resolution)

I started smoking cigarettes when I was fourteen.

I stole them at night from dad’s cigarette machine.

Dennis and I went to the outside can,

And smoked in hopes of becoming a man.

Dad continued supplying his cigarette store.

And me; I continued my stealing more and more.

It finally became a constant routine.

I’d learned to love the taste of nicotine.

To me, cigarettes looked better the more I looked,

And in a few weeks, found myself completely hooked.

Some will never completely understand.

I’d walked a mile to the Marlboro Man.

The cost of cigarettes was twenty cents a pack.

So I begged from others, saying I’ll pay you back.

Twenty’s a lot when you only have a dime,

But I have to feed this habit of mine.

I became a Christian when I was seventeen.

A novice was I, and so, what did it all mean?

I remember it well, what a great day!

But, Winston continued to have his way.

The time had come when I really wanted to quit.

But Mr.Winston loved me too and he threw a fit.

I played at my prayers, knowing what to do.

But my prayers were feigned, and weren’t getting through.

As I read the Book, the more burdened I became.

I was more serious, it’s no longer a game.

As His Word went in, the craving, it died.

Old Mr.Winston found himself cast aside.

If you’re struggling with habits, or an addiction,

And you are sincere in your heart felt conviction.

There is a cure of which you may have heard.

It’s, you can be clean through God’s Holy Word.

If you’re toying with cigarettes, or smoking weed,

Or you have moved up a notch to where you’re on speed.

Read the Bible and pray, you will be heard;

You will find freedom through God’s Holy Word.

THINGS YOU WON’T FIND IN OUR CHURCH

May 2, 2015 by Ken Blue

THINGS YOU WON’T FIND IN OUR CHURCH

Spoof on Standards
you won't find

By Ken Blue

You won’t find a screen with a bouncing ball
Our nose is in the hymnal like the Apostle Paul.
You won’t find drums or a base guitar
Or a piano — like those in honky-tonk bars.

We shun the organ; Luther called it, “The ensign of Baal”
We don’t use sound systems, we scream and yell.
Women don’t wear pants nor do they speak
We like them inferior, feeble and meek.

Power Point and Laptops are taboo and banned
We reject background music it’s carnally canned.
We don’t have air-conditioning or a patted pew
Our people love Jesus and sweat it through.

We don’t use gimmicks to reach God’s elect
Their predestined already, so what the heck.
We don’t serve coffee to the privileged guest
We’re after the chosen and ignore the rest.

We don’t preach sermons on liberty and grace
A good dose of guilt keeps people in place.
Our only ambition is to grow and thrive
All sermons are on soul winning and giving the tithe.

We don’t have television or Bibles on CD
We maintain the standards of A.D. 103.
We don’t have Internet; we reject this modern age
But we hope you do and will access our church’s web page.

BOOK: Standards and the Standard

February 7, 2015 by Ken Blue

Standards

More and more, today’s Christians have become “hung up” on standards.  Standards of worship, dress, talk, music, appearance…etc. People look for a church that allows the standards that afford them the type of “Christian lifestyle” they want to live.  If they want to drink beer, they look for a church that has a permissive outlook on drinking alcoholic beverages.  If they are against drinking beer, they look for a church that has a prohibitive outlook on drinking.  Churches have “bent”, or even broken, rules of Christian conduct to “compete” for members.

Unfortunately, standards are many times not taken from the proper source–the Bible.  They have been handed down by traditions over the years or by denominational teachings.  This is often times a direct deviation from the Bible.  Christians do themselves a disservice by looking other places than the Bible for the ways that God expects them to live.

This book by Dr. Blue will challenge the reader to rethink the standards he ascribes to. Dr. Blue does every Christian a service in this book by shaking them awake so they can examine their own life; whether they are living for the pleasure of God or twisting God’s word to accommodate their own pleasure.

I pray that every reader will accept the challenge presented in this book and align his standards with what God’s Standard (the Bible) provably teaches!

This book should be a ‘bunker-buster’ for preachers and laymen alike. It should break asunder the chains of man-made rules and set the believer free to live according to God’s infallible Standard.
