DO YOU QUESTION WHY GOD HAD ISRAEL TO DESTROY THE INHABITANTS OF CANAAN, AND TAKE THE LAND? READ AND WONDER NO MORE.

  2. THE LAND WAS FILLED WITH BESTIALITY-
  3. THE LAND WAS DEFILED AND MADE IT SICK-
  4. THE LAND WAS FILLED WITH THE PERVERTED GIANTS-
  5. THE LAND WOULD VOMIT ISRAEL OUT IF THEY FOLLOWED THE SINS OF THE    OCCUPANTS-

“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.  Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.  Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:  And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.  Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:  (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)  That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.  For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.  Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.” Leviticus 18:22-30.

The Tribulation

3.    JUDGMENT WILL FALL ON THE NATION OF ISRAEL-

4.    JUDGMENT WILL DESTROY TWO-THIRDS OF ISRAEL

5.    JUDGMENT WILL REFINE AND PURIFY THE ONE-THIRD-

6.    JUDGMENT WILL BRING THE ONE-THIRD TO REPENTANCE-

7. JUDGMENT WILL BRING ABOUT A NEW BIRTH TO ISRAEL-

8     JUDGMENT WILL REFINE AND PURIFY THE ONE-THIRD-

“Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.  And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.” Zechariah 13:7-9.

“Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” Daniel 12:10 .

Two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. Two parts of Israel will be destroyed in the future great tribulation, leaving only one part to be preserved alive to fight against Antichrist and make up the nation that will be born again in a day at the second coming of Christ (Zech. 13:8-9; 14:14; Rom. 11:25-29).

“And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.” Romans 16:20.

Perhaps no other teaching about Satan misleads believers more. Satan is not defeated, nor was his head crushed at the cross. The above verse should make that clear to all who can read. Consider Paul who said, “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed Into an angel of light.  Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works” (2 Cor. 11:14, 15).  “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” 1 Peter 5:8-9.

There are some who teach that Satan is now chained. If that be so, it is certainly a rubber chain. They preach that there is no need for us to resist one who is crushed and defeated. Don’t be naive or blinded by the teaching that Satan’s head is crushed, and that he has no power over you. That is just one more of his deceitful darts to hurl at the unsuspecting Christian.

Influential men

influential menRecently, Pastor Hughes asked me who the most influential men were in my ministry.  I hesitate to give any name except “Jesus”, but that would not be true and it has a ring of self-righteousness to it; so here we go.

The first man on the list is Pastor Harvey Taylor. Pastor Taylor was pastor in Wenatchee, Washington where I was saved at age 17.  He passed on to be with the Lord years ago.

The second was Leroy and Florence Friend of Soap Lake, Washington.  This wonderful family mentored us for the Lord.  they gave me my first copy of C. Larkin’s Dispensational Truth.  I will forever be indebted for their influence and friendship of fifty years.  Their ministry was one of discipleship.

The third person to have a strong and lasting impact on me is Dr. Jack Hyles.  Brother Hyles taught me the value of Soul-winning and made me believe I could do great things for the Lord.  I thank God for Dr. Hyles.

The fourth was Dr. Ruckman, who taught me to rightly divide the Word of God.  He was the one who encouraged me to do some writing.  He has always been gracious to me and I thank him for that.

The fifth person in Dr. Tom Malone, he was pastor and president of Midwestern Baptist College.  Dr. Malone was one of the best preachers in America, he also was a master at teaching young men how to start and pastor the local church.

Brother Hughes stated that he thought Rick Warren would be on the list.  I assured him that he was not. Some of the brethren have spread gossip about me because I believe a pastor can learn some things about outreach and church structure from Warren’s book.  The idea that we can only learn from “our crowd” is foolish and Pharisaical.  However, I am not a Talor-ite, a Friend-ite, a Hyles-ite, a Ruckman-ite, a Malone-ite, or a Warren-ite.  I am a Bible believer; nothing more and nothing less.

My friend Craig Edwards has discovered that there is no way to remain in favor with Fundamentalists unless you walk the line they draw. It does not matter if your kjv, a soul winner, live the Christian life. You must walk the line of there popelings. Below is his response to the control freaks.

I want to thank “Everyone” for each encouraging word via Facebook/phone calls/ private messages/texts. I was cancelled from a campmeeting I did for years, and during the conversation I told the host pastor why I was where I am by giving him Bible. TO each comment he answered, “That’s right.” I asked him to take the Bible and show me where I was wrong, and he said, “I can’t.” I promise I am not discouraged, bitter, or jealous. I have learned when certain religious circles attack you, the Truth and the plain truth is not relevant. It’s ok to lie, and violate Bible Truth, if that’s what it takes. I have learned who I’m not, and I’ve also learned who I am. I have but one desire, and that is to passionately follow Jesus. I still get plenty of calls for meetings and special services, by men who are in love with Truth, and Jesus. I love being at home with my family, and pastoring Blessed Hope, Mt. Airy. I am trying to be selective and prayerful about where I go, when I go. The crowd, or offerings mean nothing. I want to go where I can minister, and be a blessing and help. Doctrinally, I have not changed, and I use the same translation of the Bible I started with 48 years ago. I am learning that what Satan and people mean for evil, God means for good!!!! I am amazed that God would bring me to this place……, especially when I think about my age, and where I’ve been!!!! He has brought me to a more Biblical place than I’ve ever been……..when He did not have to. I wouldn’t go back, even if I could. I know the biggest part of my ministry is behind me, but I believe the BEST PART is yet to come!!!
