WHY THE WOMEN IN MY CHURCH DON’T WEAR PANTS

The following are five of the most absurd reasons that I have heard during my ministry:

  1. MOST OF MY PASTOR FRIENDS HAVE THIS STANDARD, AND I DON’T WANT TO LOSE THEIR FRIENDSHIP.

 

  1. I NEEDED A BIBLE VERSE TO JUSTIFY THIS STANDARD, SO I PULLED ONE OUT OF THE OLD TESTAMENT. (“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” Deuteronomy 22:5. We hope no one sees “Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.” Deuteronomy 22:11. We would look like hypocrites, and we could not explain why we don’t obey it.)

 

  1. THUS, OUR WOMEN WEAR DRESSES, EVEN THOUGH THE CLEAVAGE IS TO THE BELLY BUTTON, THE LENGTH IS UP TO THE THIGH, AND IT IS SO TIGHT THEY HAD TO USE VASELINE TO SLIP ONTO IT. THANK GOD, AT LEAST THEY AREN’T WEARING PANTS!

 

  1. I’VE BEEN TOLD THAT WOMEN WHO WEAR PANTS ARE “HUSSIES, WORLDLY, IMMODEST, AND VIOLATING SCRIPTURE.” WE DON’T WANT ANY OF THOSE WOMEN IN OUR CHURCH. THEY WILL CORRUPT THE GOOD GODLY WOMEN.

 

  1. CHURCHES MUST SET STANDARDS ON HOW PEOPLE DRESS.

THE PLOT OF THE PHARISEES TO KILL JESUS #32

 lion and lamb“Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. 15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; 16 And charged them that they should not make him known: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, 18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. 19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. 20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. 21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust. Matthew 12:14-21.

One can clearly see that this chapter is a pivotal point in the Lord’s ministry. The Kingdom of Heaven was offer to the religious leaders by Jesus and His disciples, with sufficient proof from Old Testament prophecies and an abundance of miracles, as irrefutable proof that He was the Messiah.  Yet they reject the Scriptures, and the miracles. They attribute His miracles to the Devil, and ignored their Scriptures. Thus, begins their council and plot how to put Him to death.

When Jesus was aware of their plot, He withdrew Himself for His time was not yet. Multitudes followed Him, and He healed ALL of them. This is further proof that modern day healers are charlatans. If they were real, they would be going to rest homes and hospitals. It is inconceivable that any sane person would be duped and follow these wolves.

One might ask why the religious leaders rejected the Light. The answer is, they would lose their hold on the nation, their power over the people, and their income. They were envious of His fame. He charged the people that they should not make Him known. Dake says, “He wanted to shun popularity and human acclaim and the evil effects of mob clamor to make Him King. When this did happen He got away from it all (Jn. 6:15-21).” Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible.

Matthew quotes a lengthy passage from Isaiah chapter 42. This is typical of Matthew’s gospel. He quotes Old Testament Scripture more than 60 times, and alludes to it more than we can count. That is more that any other Gospel. The reason is his gospel is specifically to the Jews.   

The quote in Isaiah is a reference to His seclusion at that time. We should consider the entire quote. God called Jesus my servant, chosen, beloved, and one in whom God was well pleased. God’s Spirit was upon Him, and Jesus will bring judgment, and His law to the Gentile nations.

Jesus would not attempt to take the Kingdom by mob rule or rebellion. He did not crush His enemies at that time. However, Scripture is clear that Judgment on all nations and individuals is coming. All will be in its time. Not only will the nation of Israel be born again. In the Kingdom of Heaven, the Gentiles also come to His light.

Where did the Universe come from?

One thing we need to understand, is that regardless of one’s IQ, it does not mean that the information or the conclusions are valid. As a personal friend of mine, with 150 IQ said, “The bigger the belfry, the more room for the bats.” Regardless the size of the “hard drive” the information on it can be true or false. Nowhere is this more evident than in an article by Stephen Hawking titled, Why God Did Not Create The Universe. The article is on page W3 of the Wall Street Journal, September 4-5, 2010.

The first paragraph begins by drawing our attention to the mythology and superstitions of the past. It says, “Ignorance of nature’s ways led people in ancient times to postulate many myths in an effort to make sense of their world. But eventually people turned to philosophy, that is, to the use of reason…to decipher their universe.”

Now, I have read the article several times searching for “proof” why God did not create the universe, and found the “proof” was lacking. If anything, it provides greater proof of intelligent design. Einstein is quoted, and then we are told what he meant. “The most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible.” What Einstein meant was that the laws of the universe are so finely tuned, it is incomprehensible, yet predictable.

Hawking says, “The discovery recently of the extreme fine-tunings of so many laws of nature could lead some back to the idea that this grand design is the work of some grand Designer. Yet the latest advances in cosmology explain why the universe seems tailor-made for humans, without the need for a benevolent creator. ” He continues, “Many improbable occurrences conspired to create earth’s human-friendly design…”  Yes, it is improbable in evolution, but not with an all wise Creator!

However, he later contradicts the above statement. “The laws of nature form a system that is extremely fine-tuned. What can we make of these coincidences? Luck in the precise form and nature of fundamental physical law is a different kind of luck from the luck we find in environmental factors. (?) It raises the natural question of why it is that way. Many people would like us to use these coincidences as evidence of the work of God.”

The following does not sound like a scientist, but a philosopher. “Our universe seems to be one of many, each with different laws. That multi-universe idea is not a notion invented to account for the miracle of fine tuning. It is a consequence predicted by many theories in modern cosmology.” Hawking concludes by saying, “Each universe has many possible histories and many possible states. Only a very few would allow creatures like ours to exist. Although we are puny and insignificant on the scale of the cosmos, this makes us in a sense lords of creation.”

If my memory serves me, that last sentence was stated over six thousand years ago by the “god of this world?” “ But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:3-5.

If the reader is on the same page with me, he will see that everything in true science does, and always will point to the Divine Creator, who made the earth perfect FOR man. All of Hawking’s findings prove that a Creator made the universes. He rejects the very evidence he espouses.

Hawking and Einstein admit that it is a “miracle” that the earth is more fine-tuned than the most expensive Rolex watch. Yet, in their mind the watch had no purpose or creator, nor can we find why it is so precise. “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:” 1 Timothy 6:20. ” Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Colossians 2:8.

A final note…if you took all the parts in the Rolex watch, and put them in a washing machine, how may trillions of years would they need to agitate to become a “fine-tuned” Rolex watch? Now, that is exactly what the evolutionist wants you to believe.

THE RISE OF FALSE PROPHETS IN THE TRIBULATION #21

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Matthew 7:15-20

“Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before.” Matthew 24:23-25.

One of the many signs for Israel in the Tribulation is the rise of false prophets. Wicked men are not hesitate to capitalize on world conditions to espouse their false doctrines. They must be judged by a sound understanding of God’s word, and their “fruit.” These false teacher will point to signs and wonders to draw away followers. They will be so persuasive that that they would deceive the very elect remnant, if it were possible. Why will it be impossible for the elect to be deceived? The answer is, they know the prophetic Scriptures.

Two types of trees are used to illustrate the point. One is good fruit, (doctrine), and evil fruit, (false teaching.)  We should note John 15, and Hebrews 6. “1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” John 15:1-8.

The evidence that one is a true follower of the Messiah, is their fruit, and their abiding. In this text, the two go together. The failure to produce good fruit, and the failure to abide, are sure signs that one is false in his profession.

Hebrews six demonstrated the fate of those Jews who witness and experience Kingdom miracles and teaching and turn back to the apostate system. “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.” Hebrews 6:4-8.

Those in the Tribulation must be ever vigilant, and also demonstrating the fruits of righteousness if they are to enter the kingdom. Otherwise, their fate is to be burned. The following adds additional light on this subject. One can see that the context is about the end time and the Kingdom of Heaven.  “Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.. Matthew 13:30.

PRAYER AND PERSEVERANCE CONCERNING THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN #20

 “Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? 12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. 13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:7-14.

 One must remember that the book of Matthew is about the Kingdom of heaven on earth. It is a time when God’s will, will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thus, everything in Matthew must be interpreted in the context of the Tribulation or the Kingdom. Most Christians are confused about many things in Matthew because they fail to rightly divide the Word of God.

 This is not a prayer promise to the Christian in this dispensation. This is a promise to those entering the Kingdom, and those who will be in it. Jesus’ ministry was a Kingdom ministry. No request was rejected by Him, and no one was turned away. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and raised the dead. The answer is, He was offering the Kingdom of Heaven to Israel, and working under Kingdom of Heaven principles. There are no such miracles today within the body of Christ, the church.

Today, many people pray for bread and get a stone. They pray for healing, yet die. Paul makes it clear that we don’t know what to pray for. “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” Romans 8:26. Many, like myself, have a terminal illness. I have ALS, and cannot walk or talk. The average life span with this illness is five years. By God’s grace, I am able to still use my hands, but with great difficulty. I mention this because there are literally, hundreds of Christians who pray for me. Yet I grow weaker by the month.

Look at the prayer promise in our text. The Disciples are told to ask, seek, and knock, for everyone who does, receives. In the Kingdom, they will receive what they ask for. It is not a lack of faith that hinders your prayers, it’s a matter of right division of Scripture.

 Since God will be a benevolent father to them, and provide every request, they are to treat others as they want to be treated. This truth is taught in the Law and the Prophets. It should be noted that the Law and miracles will also be in effect in the Kingdom of Heaven.

 The requirements for entrance into the Kingdom will be difficult. The gospels and Hebrews through Revelation make that clear. In fact, only a few will enter it. One example is in Matthew 24. “11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:11-13. Of the Jews, only one third will survive the Tribulation to enter the Kingdom. “And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.” Zechariah 13:9. Two-thirds of Israel will be destroyed. One third will be born again at that time, and be the foundation of the new nation. That is the meaning of, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
