AFTER THE RAPTURE, WHAT THEN? #3

January 2, 2012 by Ken Blue

By Ken Blue

The reader should read the previous articles on this subject to understand where we are in relation to them. The next major event on God’s calendar is the rapture of the Church. That will be followed by, what the Bible calls, The Tribulation. Jesussaid of that time, “21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” Matthew 24:21-22.

This tribulation will be centered in Israel and the surrounding nations. Their stated purpose in Scripture is found in many passages. “1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. 6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.”Zechariah 14:1-7. The world is fully aware of the nations that have declared that all Jews must be destroyed. The context is obvious that those days are still in the near future.

We are witnessing the unraveling of the nations surrounding Israel. These nations must reorganize under new leadership. Once that takes place, a union of ten nations emerge. These are represented by the ten toes on the image, and the ten horns on the beast. “41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. 43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. 44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.” Daniel 2:41-44. “12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” Revelation 17:12-13.

Therefore, the best commentary for the believer to watch is the reformation of those nations surrounding Israel. You are witnessing prophecy being fulfilled and history being made! These are exciting days for the child of God!

MORMONISM; SHOW ME THE MONEY

NOTE: The following information is from the CITIZEN PRESS REVOLUTION’s Blog. I have condensed the article, but attempted to retain the heart of the issue. You can read the whole article at: http://www.myspace.com/citizenpressrevolution/blog/337219999.

CONTROVERSIAL: MITTROMNEY, THE LDS CHURCH, BIG MONEY, THE (PRO-VEGETARIAN) WORD OF WISDOM

“The Doctrine and Covenants is the lesser known sibling to the LDS Religion’s Book of Mormon that was supposedly translated from gold plates found in the state of New York by a fellow named Joseph Smith. Unlike the Book of Mormon, the D&C is not a translation, but supposed divine revelations to Joseph Smith (mostly). One such divine revelation is quoted below from a section often referred to as the “Word of Wisdom” which is same section and reason why Mormons don’t drink alcohol or coffee or smoke.

Doctrine and Covenants, Section 89:10-18 (a.k.a. the Word of Wisdom)

“10 And again, verily I say unto you, all wholesome herbs God hath ordained for the constitution, nature, and use of man—  11 Every herb in the season thereof, and every fruit in the season thereof; all these to be used with prudence and thanksgiving.  12 Yea, flesh also of beasts and of the fowls of the air, I, the Lord, have ordained for the use of man with thanksgiving; nevertheless they are to be used sparingly;  13 And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be used, only in times of winter, or of cold, or famine.  14 All grain is ordained for the use of man and of beasts, to be the staff of life, not only for man but for the beasts of the field, and the fowls of heaven, and all wild animals that run or creep on the earth;  15 And these hath God made for the use of man only in times of famine and excess of hunger.  16 All grain is good for the food of man; as also the fruit of the vine; that which yieldeth fruit, whether in the ground or above the ground—  17 Nevertheless, wheat for man, and corn for the ox, and oats for the horse, and rye for the fowls and for swine, and for all beasts of the field, and barley for all useful animals, and for mild drinks, as also other grain.  18 And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments, shall receive health in their navel and marrow to their bones; Now, if a Mormon is to say that these scriptures cannot be taken literally, why stop there?

Now, you can worm and wiggle as much as you want, but the context and the message is clear. Eating animals should be a sparse activity especially reserved for famine. With the advent of modern technology and markets,… There isn’t a good reason for many people to eat meat at all, according to the Mormons’ very own Word of Wisdom. Wouldn’t it be a logical conclusion to say that Mormons ought to be eating less meat then?

And that possibly Mormons should be seeking a nearly vegetarian diet? God wants animals to be used sparingly and prefers them to be used for times of famine.

The American diet is meat and dairy centered. The consumption of meat and dairy in Utah, a majority of the population being LDS, is about 30% above the national average. Is this not wanton eating of flesh? Is this not mean that Mormons are violating their own health codes on a daily basis? Curious, isn’t it? These verses which make up their health code are ignored by the Mormons, by those who criticize the Mormon Religion, and by those who praise the Mormon Church. It is conveniently filtered out.

Furthermore, the LDS Religion believes that when their Prophet speaks to the Church it is infallible and as correct as if God Himself was speaking. It is akin to doctrine and scripture. And God doesn’t change His mind, supposedly.

Hyrum Smith, the brother of Joseph Smith, wrote in a then LDS Church publication, Times and Seasons, in relation to the Word of Wisdom, to: “Let men attend to these instructions, let them use the things ordained of God; let them be sparing of the life of animals: “it is pleasing saith the Lord that flesh be used only in times of winter, or of famine” Sparing of the life of animals. How does one wiggle around that?

So, should it be surprising that Mitt Romney has done hunting gigs to win hunter’s votes and money? Isn’t hunting though a “vicious” disposition against animals, especially since those who hunt in America are generally well off and definitely not in any excess of dietary hunger?

If a LDS apologist says that Joseph Smith wasn’t serious when he said that or can’t be taken literally, how can we say he was serious about anything else he said? Is it just a matter of cherry picking what we like and don’t like while claiming to believe that his statements were divinely inspired, except some we ignore and forget and some we don’t?

Mitt Romney is criticized for flip flopping. Understanding why Mitt Romney flip flops is similar to understanding why the LDS Church flip flops on its doctrines (though it claims that hasn’t — despite written, historical, and scientific proof otherwise).

Now, here is a special list of a certain type of business ventures and capital which the LDS Church is involved in and owns, see if you see why I grouped these together:

Deseret Land and Livestock (Utah), Sun Ranch (Wyoming), Deseret Ranches of Florida (Orlando area, the largest ranch in Florida), Cactus Lane Ranch (Arizona) , Deseret Ranches of Alberta Raymond, AB Canada, AgReserves Ltd. Cambridge, England, Farmspeed (Southery Anchor) Ltd. (U.K.), Hallwsworth (Farmland Trt) Ltd. (U.K.) ,AgroReservas, S.C. Los Mochis, Mexico, Deseret Farms of CA Woodland, CA, Deseret Farms of CA Modesto, CA, Deseret Farms of CA Chico, CA, South Valley Farms Bakersfield, CA, Deseret Security Farms Blythe, CA, Naples Farms Naples, FL, Deseret Cattle & Citrus ST. Cloud, FL, Deseret Farms of Rkin Rkin, FL, Kewela , Plantation O’ahu, HI, Rex Ranch Ashby, NE, Riverbend Farms St. Paul, OR, Deseret Land & Livestock Woodruff, UT, Wasatch-Dixie Farms Elberta, UT, Agreserves Cattle Co., TX, Agrinorthwest Kennewick, WA, Handcart Ranch Alcova, WY, Deseret Ranches of Wyoming Cody, WY, Agreserves Australia Ltd. Kooba Station, Australia., Rolling Hills (Idaho), West Hills Orchards (Elberta, Utah).

The LDS Church has significant financial interest, investment, and ownership in the animal enterprise industry.’ The flip flopping on regards to what diet is ordained by God is explained simply by where the money currently is.

While Joseph Smith and LDS doctrine can easily be shown to be a harsh criticism of the standard American diet which Mormons match, if not surpass, you won’t hear any pro-vegetarian or pro-semi-vegetarian arguments from Mormon prophets anymore. Nor will you hear any condemnations from Mormon prophets of the wanton consumption of meat by its members. Nor will you hear Mormon prophets condemning the absolutely vicious practices which are standard in the animal enterprise industry. The Mormon Church is a part of the animal enterprise industry and a definite player in it, especially meat.

When it comes to understanding things, a rule that almost always works: follow the money. And following the money definitely shows a good explanation why the Mormon Church is not pro-semi-vegetarian or pro-vegetarian. It is not in the interest of Mormon money to support such diets. The fact that they have scriptures and teachings by their Mormon prophets which do support such diets is ignored. What isn’t ignored, however, is money. And when it comes to which is more important to the LDS Church, sacred doctrines inspired by God and given to supposed prophets loses. And money wins.”

WHY I AM NOT A MORMON

December 25, 2011 by Ken Blue

MORMONS ARE NOT CHRISTIANS

Mormons

Compiled byKenBlue

Mormons are not Christians

A Christian is one who has accepted the gospel as presented by Paul in I Cor. 15. He has no other rule for faith and practice. Mormons believe no such thing. They call themselves Latter Day Saints. What they mean by that is that the early church went into total apostasy and that there was no gospel preached until Joseph Smith received his angelic revelation on some golden plates he found under a tree in early 1800. He also needed a special pair of spectacles, provided by the angel, before he could read the plates. The plates contained another Bible, another church, another Jesus, another god, and another plan of salvation. Thus, began the Latter Day Saints.

This is exactly how Islam was founded. An angel revealed the new religion to Mohamed 600 years after the death ofChrist. Mormons also hold in common with Islam the doctrine of multiple wives in this life and in the life to come. Islam has the advantage. The women awaiting them will be 70 brown-eyed virgins. Thus, neither religion is Christian.

“The history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) is typically divided into three broad time periods: (1) the early history during the lifetime of Joseph Smith, Jr. which is in common with all Latter Day Saint movement churches, (2) a “pioneer era” under the leadership of Brigham Young and his 19th Century successors, and (3) a modern era beginning around the turn of the 20th century as the practice of polygamy was discontinued.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints traces its origins to western New York, where Joseph Smith, Jr., founder of the Latter Day Saint movement was born and raised. Joseph Smith gained a small following in the late 1820s as he was dictating the Book of Mormon, which he said was a translation of words found on a set of golden plates that had been buried near his home in western New York by an indigenous American prophet. On April 6, 1830, in western New York, Smith organized the religion’s first legal church entity, the Church of Christ. The church rapidly gained a following, who viewed Smith as their prophet. The main body of the church moved first to Kirtland, Ohio in the early 1830s, then to Missouri in 1838, where the 1838 Mormon War with other Missouri settlers ensued, culminating in adherents being expelled from the state under Missouri Executive Order 44 signed by the governor of Missouri. After Missouri, Smith built the city of Nauvoo, Illinois, near which Smith was assassinated. After Smith’s death, a succession crisis ensued, and the majority voted to accept the Quorum of the Twelve, led by Brigham Young, as the church’s leading body.”

Paul said, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Gal. 1:6-9. According to Paul, all Mormons are under God’s curse.

Mormons do not believe any Bible is inerrant or infallible

The Church has 4 Standard Works that are authoritative:  The Bible (in so far as it is translated correctly), the Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price.  Speeches and writings of the current president of the church are also authoritative.

Mormons do not believe there is only one God

There are many Gods. Brigham Young-Journal of Discourses 7:333 “How many Gods there are, I do not know.  But there never was a time when there were not Gods.

Mormons do not believe Jesus is God

One of the main fundamentals of orthodox Christianity is belief in the virgin birth of the Savior.  Statements from the LDS church leaders show that they have a different view of Christ.  Bruce McConkie, a Mormon Apostle, teaches in his book, Mormon Doctrine, “Christ was begotten by an immortal father in the same way that mortal men are begotten by mortal fathers.”  (p. 547)  Joseph Fielding Smith, tenth President and Prophet of the Mormon Church claimed, “Christ not begotten of Holy Ghost…He was not born without the aid of Man and that Man was God!”  (Doctrines of Salvation, 1:18).  By worshipping such a being the Mormons fall under the condemnation of Romans one by changing “the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man” (1:23).

Mormons do not believe you can know for sure your are saved

The Bible is full of verses proclaiming the saving power of Christ’s blood that was shed for us on the cross.  Despite all the verses forcefully declaring the importance of Christ’s blood, the Mormon pamphlet found in almost every LDS visitors centers titled, What the Mormons think of Christ, refutes the saving grace of Christ’s sacrifice.  On page 22 we find this written, “Christians speak often of the blood of Christ and it’s cleansing power.  Much that is believed and taught on this subject is such utter nonsense and so palpably false that to believe it is to lose one’s salvation.  For instance, many believe or pretend to believe that if we confess Christ with our lips and avow that we accept Him as our personal savior we are thereby saved.  They say His blood, without any other act than mere belief makes us clean.”

Mormons do not believe one can be saved without accepting Joseph Smith as God’s Prophet. (Sounds like Islam, doesn’t it?)

The Bible teaches that Jesus is the only giver of salvation and that no man cometh unto the Father but by Him (John 3:16 & John 17:6).  The Jesus of Mormonism claims no such authority.  Mormonism teaches that in order to be saved on must believe in Joseph Smith, their founder, as well as believe in their Jesus.  In his book Doctrines of Salvation, 1:189, Joseph Fielding Smith proclaims, “NO SALVATION WITHOUT ACCEPTING JOSEPH SMITH”.  Brigham Young said, “From the day the Priesthood was taken from the earth to the winding up scene of all things, every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, Junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are.”  He also said, “No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of god without the consent of Joseph Smith” (Journal of Discourses, 7:289).

Mormons do not believe non-Mormons are saved

Orson Pratt (Mormon Apostle)–“..all other churches are entirely destitute of all authority from God; and any person who receives baptism of the Lord’s supper from their hands highly offend God, for he looks upon them as the most corrupt of all people” (The Seer, pg 255)

I could give a dozen other reasons why I am not a Mormon. Need more proof? Let me know. Most of these answers are provided by others.

675 PAKISTAN ‘HONOUR KILLING’ VICTIMS:

675 PAKISTAN ‘HONOUR KILLING’ VICTIMS: COMMISSION
AFP – Tue, Dec 20, 2011

(NOTE: The following story will be the fate of all women if, and when Islam becomes the accepted religion in any nation. Don’t be fooled into believing that Islam will or can coexist with any free culture.)
“Pakistani Muslim women offer Eid prayers at the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore in November …
At least 675 Pakistani women and girls were murdered during the first nine months of the year for allegedly defaming their family’s honour, a leading human rights group said Tuesday.
The statistics highlight the scale of violence suffered by many women in conservative Muslim Pakistan, where they are frequently treated as second-class citizens and there is no law against domestic violence.
Despite some progress on better protecting women’s rights, activists say the government needs to do far more to prosecute murderers in cases largely dismissed by police as private, family affairs.
“A total of 675 women and girls were killed in the name of honour across Pakistan from January to September,” a senior official in the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan told AFP.
They included at least 71 victims under the age of 18.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is unauthorised to speak to the media, said figures were still being compiled from October to December, and that a full report would be released in February.
The Commission reported 791 honour killings in 2010 and there was no discernible decrease this year, the official added.
Around 450 of the women killed from January to September were accused of having “illicit relations” and 129 of marrying without permission.
Some victims were raped or gangraped before being killed, he said. At least 19 were killed by their sons, 49 by their fathers and 169 by their husbands.
Rights groups say the government should do more to ensure that women subject to violence, harassment and discrimination have effective access to justice.
Ali Dayan Hasan, Pakistan director at Human Rights Watch, told AFP that the state’s inability to enforce rule of law, leaving matters in the hands of tribesmen and local elders, was a major factor.
“We have a system in Pakistan where the state and judicial recourse are absent and the vacuum is filled by local elders,” he said.
“A combination of legal reforms, exercise of administrative authority and social awareness can greatly help check the honour killings,” he added.
Earlier this month, a Belgian court sentenced four members of a Pakistani family to prison for the murder of their daughter and sister, who defied them by living with a Belgian man and refusing an arranged marriage.”
