THE WICKEDNESS OF HARBORING RESENTMENT

December 18, 2015 by Ken Blue

WOLF

By Ken Blue

This article is a response to self-appointed “evangelist” Jerry Kaifetz. Since he cut off my ability to respond to him in private on “messaging,” we will post my last response, which I am sure he never received. His disdain for independent fundamental churches has embittered his spirit, and he could not refrain from showing his contempt for them and me. My only reason for posting this response is because of his “hit and run” tactic after his vile attack.

Mr. Kaifetz, You demonstrated your unwillingness to face the truth when you said, “Exactly what I expected,” and then cut me off of your Facebook, so I could not respond to your vile accusations. You should have expected that response because you set the table.

Concerning you calling me a hypocrite, because I pastored, and had a son smoking pot is like the kettle calling the pot black. You never had the courtesy to ask if I was aware of it or not. I was not. You may say, “Well, you should have known.” Well, let’s see how that plays out, Mr. Kaifetz. Were the Wilsons Hypocrites for teaching Sunday school, and preaching in Junior Church while their son was smoking pot? Have you confronted them about that, or do you only target pastors?  Also, you were a member of First Baptist, and you must have known the pastor’s son was having sex with every girl he could corrupt. If you did know it, were you a hypocrite to be a part of that ministry? You boast about how heavily involved you were in the church. If you didn’t know about the immorality, why not?

Also, for you to blame me for the drinking problem of their son is a demonstration of your duplicity. You have an agenda in your attack on fallen pastors…its call ego, and money.  Perhaps if enough pastors fall, you may become famous.

Your comment “You are the one who is unquestionably incapable of receiving advice,” and “You will never understand what I have to say to you,” only reveals your pride and arrogance. What advice did you send? Your article was an attack from beginning to the end. Wisdom will not die with you, so don’t pride yourself beyond your limits.

Also, for someone to dig up an offense of over 35 years ago, demonstrates their inability to practice 1 Cor. 13.

  • “Love Does Not Keep Notes on Past Offenses

Paul tells us that love “does not take into account a wrong suffered.” I like what Morris writes on this point: “Paul’s next point is that love does not, so to speak, go around with a little black book making a note of every evil thing. ‘Love keeps no score of wrongs,’ says Paul (the NEB translation). We find it hard to forget it when people offend us, often storing up such grievances.” Some saints seem to have photographic memories when it comes to offenses against them. One little irritation brings to mind an entire file of previous offenses, carefully annotated and documented. This kind of mental bookkeeping only serves to fuel resentment and certainly does not facilitate true reconciliation.” That would be you, Mr. Kaifetz.

IF I WERE THE DEVIL

December 20, 2013 by Ken Blue

WHAT THE DEVIL MIGHT DO WITH YOU

DEVIL

By Ken Blue

https://kenblueministries.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Old-Satan.mp3

If I were the Devil I’d point to the hypocrites in the church, and I’d scoff…

I’d point to imaginary contradictions in the Bible, and I’d scoff…

And I would convince you that all religions are after your money, and I’d scoff…

If I were the Devil I’d keep your mind occupied with movies, music, and money.

I’d convince you that evolution is right, and that there is no purpose for your existence.

And you are a product of chance, and the chimpanzee is your first cousin.

If I were the Devil I’d poison your mind with pornography until you couldn’t think of anything else.

I’d destroy your body with drugs, and alcohol until you were burned out.

And I would destroy your soul through bitterness at the God you do not believe exist.

If I were the Devil I’d keep you so busy you would become set in your ways.

I’d harden your will as concrete, so when it came time for you to die, you’d have no desire or will to believe.

And I’d destroy your life, or bless it, so you would curse God as you go home with me to hell forever. And then I’d scoff!

(The idea came from Paul Harvey)

UNDERSTANDING SEX OFFENDERS:

December 5, 2013 by Ken Blue

WHAT THE SEX OFFENDERS TELL US

Barbara Boslaugh Haner, MN, ARNP

There are over 20,000 registered sex offenders currently residing within Washington State.  Although most media attention is given to known sex offenders moving into the area, the majority of sex offenders are unknown to the general public.  The typical sex offender is male, at least a high school graduate, is more likely than other criminals to be employed and typically do not have criminal records.   Although many believe offenders are dirty old men in trench coats lurking in the bushes around schools, in fact 85%-90% of child sexual abusers are known to the family.  Sex offenders most often are family members, friends, and other adults with significant relationships with children who rely on secrecy and manipulative behavior patterns to identify and target their victims. Additionally, while most other criminals decrease their criminal activity as they age, sex offenders typically do not.  Instead, most sex offenders continue to offend against their targeted populations until they are physically incapable.

Child sexual abuse usually begins with a sex offender gaining both the parent’s and the child’s trust and friendship, becoming a valuable and indispensable part of the family.    Once a relationship has been established, the offender will begin to test the child’s knowledge and ability to protect themselves. Sexual jokes, back rubs, “accidental” sexual touching, and hugging, often done in the presence of the parent, are utilized to “test the waters.”  If these behaviors are not received with alarm, the offender will increase the amount and type of sexual exposure.  To adjust the child to sexual activity, offenders commonly utilize casual or accidental exposure to pornography.

[perfectpullquote align=”right” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]85%-90% of child sexual abusers are known to the family.[/perfectpullquote]

Offenders also take great precautions to avoid causing physical pain or injury to their victims because injury sharply increases the likelihood the child will disclose the behavior.   Most sex offenders of children are content with self-exposure, fondling, masturbation and oral sex.  Penile penetration is rare.  This preparation or grooming process is often so sly that children are not aware that these behaviors violate the “good touch, bad touch” philosophy that is the current gold standard for education.   The emphasis on “stranger danger” is not applicable within this criminal act.   By creating an environment that isolates the child from their peers and other family members, the offenders often instill a sense of responsibility for the sexual behavior on the child.

What do the offenders tell us about prevention?   Turning to convicted offenders has generated concrete suggestions to decrease the risk of child sexual assault.

  • Secrets:  Offenders tell us that teaching the dangers of secret friendships, secret gifts, secret behaviors, and secret places is more valuable than any other educational format.
  • Believe:  Listen, and trust your child. Children rarely lie about sexual abuse.
  • Education:  Teach accurate and healthy values about sexuality. If we don’t teach our children about sex, the offenders will.
  • Remind:  Frequently remind your child about when and where people can touch their bodies.
  • Monitor:  Get to know your child’s friends and peers, as well as adults that have contact with your child.  Be wary of older children and adults who want to spend a lot of time alone with your child. Are the gifts or privileges your child receives appropriate?

Increased awareness and understanding of how offenders target and maintain their victims is vital to effective prevention.  From information supplied by convicted offenders, programs can be developed that effectively counteract the methods utilized by offenders.   Without good safety programs and informed professionals and parents, children will continue to be vulnerable and sexually victimized.
