A DUO OF FOOLS

October 26, 2012 by Ken Blue

Proverbs 14:9 “Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.”

Ecclesiastes 7:6. “For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity.”

 It is impossible for a fool to distinguish between ridicule and fact. Nowhere is this more evident than in the field of comedy and science (?). The laughter meter is their only indication of success. These fools think you have the intelligence of a slug if you believe God creating man and woman. Well, let them explain how man evolved from an ape, and an elephant to a man and a woman. Since they cannot, they try to laugh it off with profanity, while whistling in the cemetery.

God is also under attack because the firstborn of Egypt died at the Passover. While they scoff at the death of these, they are silent about millions of infants that are aborted each year. There is a word for that silence; it’s hypocrite.

Then there is the matter of Noah’s ark. How could all those animals get in? They walked in. These critics can’t give you the dimensions of the ark. We will turn them, and their laugh meter off,  and let them prove it was impossible.

Also, there is the attack on the accuracy of the Bible. I could care less about this. I know man, and I know the Bible. I choose the Bible every time. However, to show that these critics are wimps, cowards, and biased hypocrites, let them make an attack on Islam and the Koran. They will not. No, they are cowards. They dare not use profanity or attack Islam, they know they will get more than their piogtail clipped. They try to sound self-confident and entertaining, but they are fools in disguise. They are filthy dreamers, who fill their dialog with one profanity after another for shock effect. We are not shocked, this is what we expect for those who hide corruptipn behind laughter.

Now, I could care less what you think of me. I have two choices. I have made mine clear. The other choice is listed below. You would have to be the biggest fool in the world to believe it. It falls in the category of fantasy, insanity, and true comedy. There’s not an ounce of science in it. Oh yes, guess who gets the last laugh. Psalm 2:4 “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.” One may laugh himself into hell; he cannot laugh himself out.

You understand the word “derision” don’t you? Now, what was that question about the ark?

For real comedy, read the fool’s creed below.

“FORWARD;” TO WHAT?

October 23, 2012 by Ken Blue

The Obama campaign apparently didn’t look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, “Forward” — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.

Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name “Forward!” or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called “Forward (generic name of socialist publications).”

“The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications,” the online encyclopedia explains.

The slogan “Forward!” reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.

The Obama campaign released its new campaign slogan Monday in a 7-minute video. The title card has simply the word “Forward” with the “O” having the familiar Obama logo from 2008. It will be played at rallies this weekend that mark the Obama re-election campaign’s official beginning.

There have been at least two radical-left publications named “Vorwaerts” (the German word for “Forward”). One was the daily newspaper of the Social Democratic Party of Germany whose writers included Friedrich Engels and Leon Trotsky. It still publishes as the organ of Germany’s SDP, though that party has changed considerably since World War II. Another was the 1844 biweekly reader of the Communist League. Karl Marx, Engels and Mikhail Bakunin are among the names associated with that publication.

East Germany named its Army soccer club ASK Vorwaerts Berlin (later FC Vorwaerts Frankfort).

Vladimir Lenin founded the publication “Vpered” (the Russian word for “forward”) in 1905. Soviet propaganda film-maker Dziga Vertov made a documentary whose title is sometimes translated as “Forward, Soviet” (though also and more literally as “Stride, Soviet”).

Conservative critics of the Obama administration have noted numerous ties to radicalism and socialists throughout Mr. Obama’s history, from his first political campaign being launched from the living room of two former Weather Underground members, to appointing as green jobs czar Van Jones, a self-described communist.

THE MOTHER OF ALL WARS

October 21, 2012 by Ken Blue

By Ken Blue

There is a war coming in the Middle East that will shake the fish in the sea. It is prophesied in several places in Scripture. A war of this magnitude was thought impossible a few years ago. But now, no one doubts its possibility, or probability.

Prior to this battle, the nations must have a reason to descend to the valley that extends from Israel into Syria. John describes it this way. Revelation 16:12-16 “ And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. 16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.” If Revelation 9:16 is a reference to this army, there will be 200 million fighting in it! Note the sign above.

“Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.” This is a picture of the battle of Armageddon in this chapter and the following verses. (Rev. 14:18-20; 19:15; Isa. 63:1-6; Joel 3:12-16). Blood will flow on this battlefield up to the horses’ bridles for a distance of about 184 miles (Rev. 14:20). This blood river will come from the veins of multitudes slain in the battle and from the hail, fire, brimstone, and overflowing rain that will fall from heaven on this day (Ezek. 38:21-23). God will participate in this war with His weapons in heaven. Revelation 16:21 “ And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.” These hail stones will weigh about 114 pounds!

Before you have any thought that I have negative sentiments toward Jews, you should read the following verses, and realize that I do not. Romans 11:11-15 “ I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? 13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. 15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?”

As we have said, God is gathering the Jews back to Israel, and then He will gather all the nations there to destroy them. Zephaniah 3:8 “Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.”

If you are not saved, that is, if you have not believed on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, now is the time to do it. You must believe He died in your place, arose from the dead, and then personally accept Him as your Savior. Do it now.

DO YOU KNOW HIM?

October 19, 2012 by Ken Blue

By Ken Blue

Philippians 3:10 “ That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;”

We have heard many sincere Christians ask, in their witnessing efforts, “do you know the Lord?” The last thing I want to do is diminish anyone’s zeal for souls. However, the above question is not the proper question to the unsaved. I will say, if that question works for you, don’t stop using it.

My point is; there is a world of difference in being saved, and knowing the Lord. We are saved by accepting by faith Jesus as the payment for our sins. Getting saved is the easiest thing in the world. Religion muddies the waters and makes it almost impossible for the lost to understand how to be saved. Listen to Paul explain its simplicity.  Romans 10:8-13 “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” So, if you are unsaved, you are without excuse. A child can understand that.

However, getting to know the Lord is quite another thing. We meet others, and the process begins of getting to know them. Not only does this take many years; we still don’t know them fully. This is true of our friends, of God, and of ourselves. The important question is how do we get to know the Lord? Although Paul had been saved for years, his desire was that he might know Him. “Philippians 3:10 “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” Paul indicated also that there are those who claim they know Him, but their works prove they do not. “Titus 1:16 “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.”

The first and most accurate way to know the Lord is through His Word. Words are the means we use in getting to know others. We communicate with them. Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” God wants to talk to you. Open the Bible, and your heart and you will hear from Him.

Then, we get to know Him by his works. Creation tells us volumes about God. We see His power, His wisdom, and His care for it everywhere. Romans 1:19-21 “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.”

Finally, we get to know Him by suffering. Psalm 119:67 “Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.”

So, you see. There are many who say they are Christians, and God is the judge as to the truth of that. Nevertheless, all of us should be growing, and getting to know Him. The question is, are you saved, and do you know Him?

WHY I BELIEVE IN GOD

October 17, 2012 by Ken Blue

By Ken Blue

Life is made up of choices.

Some are critical we make.

You ask me why I choose God;

Why I take the path I take.

One’s because of my mother

Her words and life gave me faith.

I saw in her and the family,

Assurance one could not shake.

I also believe that God,

Is known by His creation.

His language all men can hear.

Other views lack foundation.

We also have a conscience;

Our gauge of what’s right or wrong.

It’s used to accuse others,

Or excuse faults of our own.

The Bible is our best proof,

Withstanding the hammers blow.

The Bible remains unchanged,

Wearing hammers out, you know.

Then, there is the transformed life;

The miracle He did for me.

I once was blind to it all,

But by God’s grace, now I see.

Just a note to all our critics;

The difference `tween you and me.

If there is no God, I’ll be fine.

If there is, where will you be?
