culture Here I Am Lord

By Ken Blue

“For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.” 1 Corinthians 9:19-23.

North America consists of many diverse cultures and ethnic groups. Churches that ignore this truth do so to their own peril. This fact is made more evident by Chinatown, Little Italy and other community groups within most large cities.

Churches that attempt to force a culture into their church, foreign to the surrounding community, will find it like trying to drive a square peg into a round hole. It is practically impossible. Paul never attempted to bring Jewish culture or customs into Gentile churches. The gospel and the Pauline epistles easily fit any culture.

[pullquote align=”right” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]A pastor should make every effort to see that his church is not foreign to the area where he serves.[/pullquote]

I see some pastors attempting to force southern culture into their churches in the northern states. There is a world of difference, not only within large cities, but within the various states. Of course the gospel is the same, but the cultures may not be the same. That is why a pastor should make every effort to see that his church is not foreign to the area where he serves. Paul was able and willing to adapt, but Some pastors are not. It is easier to let people go to hell, than it is to adjust.

We must ask ourselves; are we trying to get men and women transformed into the image of Christ, or are we trying to force a culture that is foreign to them? Every foreign missionary knows what I am talking about. Do you?

(DID YOU KNOW THAT MORMON WIVES CANNOT BE RAISED FROM THE GRAVE TO GLORY, UNLESS THEIR HUSBANDS CALL THEM FROM THE GRAVE BY A SECRET NAME GIVEN AT THE TEMPLE WEDDING? THAT IS WHY TEMPLE WEDDINGS ARE SO IMPORTANT TO MORMONS. MORMONISM IS A CULT.)
WHAT WONDERFUL GRACE
By Ken Blue

“Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.” Hebrews 2:8.

God writes the future in the past. I’m not speaking of “past tense.” It is wonderful what God has done for us. But now we don’t see it. We walk by faith and not by sight.

In the matter of our salvation, nothing is tangible or visible. All is by faith. The book of Ephesians and Colossians make that abundantly clear. We find that we are crucified with Him, buried with Him, risen with Him, and seated with Him. But now we see none of it. We are told to “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:2. We aren’t told what those things are. All of them are in Christ. This actions is one of faith. Why? “But now” we see Jesus.

In the matter of Israel’s coming conversion to Christ is an established fact, according to Scripture.

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7  He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8  He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.” Isaiah 53:4-8.

The above text was written seven hundred years before the birth of Jesus. It clear that the nation did not recognize Him or His work at the first advent. Yet, somewhere in the future they will see clearly who He was, and what He did for them. “But now” He is not acknowledged by them. He will be made known to some in the Tribulation, and to others at His second advent. The work in complete, but now it is unseen.

In the matter of the Kingdom, all things will be under His feet. “But now” very little is subject to Christ. “For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6  Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 7  All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; 8  The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. 9  O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!” Psalm 8:5-9.

The writer of Hebrews is quoting this passage to show that Jesus will put down all rule and authority during the 1000 your kingdom. At the end everything will be in subjection, and Christ and His people will rule the earth, as was originally intended of Adam and his descendants. These are sure, “But now” we see none of it. But we see Jesus, and why He was made a little lower than the angels, and why He died. “But now” we walk by faith, seeing Him who is invisible.

LET’S STUDY REVELATION #48

November 21, 2013 by Ken Blue

 REVELON BOOK

(The Jesus of Mormonism, is an entirely different person, as official publications clearly reveal.  The Mormon ‘Savior’ is not the second person of the Christian Trinity, since Mormons reject the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, and He is not even a careful replica of the New Testament Redeemer.  In Mormon theology Christ, as a pre-existent spirit, was not only the spirit brother of the devil (as alluded to in the Pearl of Great Price, Moses 4:1-4 and later reaffirmed by Brigham Young in theJournal of Discourses, 13:282), but celebrated his own marriage to ‘Mary and Martha, and the other Mary,’ at Cana of Galilee, ‘whereby he could see his seed, before he was crucified’ (Apostle Orson Hyde, Journal of Discourses, 4:259; 2:82).   The Mormon concept of the Virgin Birth, alone, insults God and distinguishes the Mormon ‘Christ’ from the Christ of the Bible.) Copied.

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?”  (Revelation 13:4).

We have discovered that the dragon is Satan, and that all the Gentile heads derived their power from him. It has always been Satan’s ambition to receive worship and total power. He will have that for a brief time through a man who will sell himself completely to him and Judas did. Satan will receive worship through the one willing to represent him. By worshiping the one, they ignorantly worshiped the other.

That man is called:

Antichrist (1 John 2:18).

  1. Assyrian (Isaiah 10:20-27; Isaiah 30:18-33; Isaiah 31:4-32:20; Micah 5:3-15).
  2. King of Babylon (Isaiah 14:4).
  3. The little horn (Daniel 7:8, 24; Daniel 8:9,23).
  4. The King of Fierce Countenance (Daniel 8:23).
  5. The Prince that shall come ( Daniel 9:26-27).
  6. King of the north (Daniel 11:5-45).
  7. Man of sin (2 Thes. 2:1-12).
  8. Son of perdition (2 Thes. 2:1-12).
  9. The Wicked (Isaiah 11:4).
  10. That Wicked (2 Thess. 2:8-12).
  11. The Beast (Daniel 7:11; Rev. 13).

The image of a seven-headed beast is formed from the masses, and is a “snapshot” of all seven kingdoms in one picture. They do not exist simultaneously, yet, except in the vision and in character. This is illustrated in the vision of Nebuchadnezzar.  “Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.” (Daniel 2:37-43).

At the time of Nebuchadnezzar’s vision only one head was in existence – Babylon. The other three, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome, came years later. The vision in the book of Daniel did not reveal the two heads which preceded Babylon, but they are seen on John’s beast: Egypt and Assyria.

The beast which existed in John’s day, while he was on the island of Patmos, was the 4th, kingdom in Nebuchadnezzar’s vision. The same kingdom is the 6th head on John’s vision.

 “And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.” (Revelation 13:2-3).

Scripture is clear that there are evil angels behind each of the seven heads who are also classified as beasts. In the Book of Daniel we see that angels rule over the kingdoms of men. They represent them and fight battles for them. While Daniel was in prayer, an angel came to strengthen him and inform him that God had heard his prayers. He would have arrived sooner, but was hindered by an evil angel (beast) called “the Prince of the kingdom of Persia.” Michael, the archangel, who represents God’s people, Israel, was sent to aid the angel (Daniel 10:13, 21).

After further encouragement, the ministering angel told Daniel that he must now go and continue his fight with the prince of Persia. Furthermore, he said, the prince of Grecia would come soon after he departed (Daniel 10:20). These are angelic creatures who are the unseen princes of the Gentile kingdoms. They too are seen a “beast.”

Dake says concerning this prince, “The prince of Grecia is the satanic ruler prince of the Grecian Empire that caused Alexander the Great to be so successful in 13 years as to destroy the Medo-Persian Empire completely. This prince of Grecia is the spirit now confined to the abyss who will come out in the last days and cause the human Antichrist to revive the old Grecian Empire, so that they all can oppose Jesus Christ at Armageddon.”

       As the kingdoms of this world were destroyed, God restrained these satanic angels to different confinements. Some were confined in the EuphratesRiver; others were assigned to the pit (Revelation 9:1-3, 14; 11:7). One of the princes, which come out of the pit, is the angelic prince of Grecia, and is called a beast (Revelation 11:7; 17:8).

This beast will empower the Antichrist. He will make war on the two witnesses and kill them. It is this Grecian beast that will be raised from the pit, whose deadly wound was healed, and will lead a revised Roman Empire, through the Antichrist.

The Antichrist’s kingdom is symbolized by the leopard to show its swiftness; the bear shows its cruelty; and the lion shows its dominion and power. The whole kingdom was energized by Satan.

One should note that the dragon also has seven heads and ten horns. This shows how interconnected Satan and his earthly kingdoms are. The Antichrist has great power and authority. These are delegated to him by Satan and directed by the beast, the prince of Grecia, from the pit.

            The Antichrist will take over the ten kings, and their kingdoms within the boundaries of the old Roman empire, and thus acquire their wealth and their armies. He will rule with absolute power and will be a military dictator. Those under his leadership will see him as invincible and believe that no power can conquer him. How wrong they are.

“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.”  (Revelation 13:5-6).

ARE MORMON WIVES PREGNANT THROUGHOUT ETERNITY?

November 18, 2013 by Ken Blue

ARE YOU AFRAID TO DIE – MP3

JOSEPH SMITH AND HIS WIVES
JOSEPH SMITH AND HIS WIVES

ARE MORMON WIVES PREGNANT THROUGHOUT ETERNITY?

Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Nauvoo, Illinois, recorded July 12, 1843, relating to the new and everlasting covenant, including the eternity of the marriage covenant, as also plurality of wives. HC 5: 501—507.

Although the revelation was recorded in 1843, it is evident from the historical records that the doctrines and principals involved in this revelation had been known by the Prophet since 1831.

[INSERT: compare introduction to the 1969 edition of the Book of Mormon] Here’s the 1969 version:

——-The Prophet’s inquiry of the Lord–He is told to prepare himself to receive the new and everlasting covenant–Conditions of this law–The power of the Holy Priesthood instituted by the Lord must be operative in ordinances to be in effect beyond the grave–

Marriage by secular authority is of effect during mortality only–Though the form of marriage should make it appear to be for time and eternity, the ordinance is not valid beyond the grave unless solemnized by the authority of the Holy Priesthood as the Lord directs–

Marriage duly authorized for time and eternity to be attended by surpassing blessings–essentials for the attainment of the status of godhood –– The meaning of eternal lives–Plurality of wives acceptable only when commanded by the Lord–The sin of adultery–Commandment to Emma Smith, wife of the prophet.http://scriptures.lds.org/dc/132

  • 58 Now, as touching the law of the apriesthood, there are many things pertaining thereunto.
  •  59 Verily, if a man be called of my Father, as was aAaron, by mine own voice, and by the voice of him that bsent me, and I have endowed him with the ckeys of the power of this priesthood, if he do anything in my name, and according to my law and by my word, he will not commit dsin, and I will justify him.
  •  60 Let no one, therefore, set on my servant Joseph; for I will justify him; for he shall do the sacrifice which I require at his hands for his transgressions, saith the Lord your God.
  •  61 And again, as pertaining to the law of the priesthood—if any man espouse a virgin, and desire to espouse aanother, and the first give her consent, and if he espouse the second, and they are virgins, and have vowed to no other man, then is he justified; he cannot commit adultery for they are given unto him; for he cannot commit adultery with that that belongeth unto him and to no one else.
  •  62 And if he have aten virgins given unto him by this law, he cannot commit adultery, for they belong to him, and they are given unto him; therefore is he justified.
  •  63 But if one or either of the ten virgins, after she is espoused, shall be with another man, she has committed adultery, and shall be destroyed; for they are given unto him to multiply and replenish the earth, according to my commandment, and to fulfil the promise which was given by my Father before the foundation of the world, and for their exaltation in the eternal worlds, that they may bear the souls of men; for herein is the work of my Father continued, that he may be glorified.
  •  64 And again, verily, verily, I say unto you, if any man have a wife, who holds the keys of this power, and he teaches unto her the law of my priesthood, as pertaining to these things, then shall she believe and administer unto him, or she shall be destroyed, saith the Lord your God; for I will destroy her; for I will magnify my name upon all those who receive and abide in my law.
  •  65 Therefore, it shall be lawful in me, if she receive not this law, for him to receive all things whatsoever I, the Lord his God, will give unto him, because she did not believe and administer unto him according to my word; and she then becomes the transgressor; and he is exempt from the law of Sarah, who administered unto Abraham according to the law when I commanded Abraham to take aHagar to wife.
  •  66 And now, as pertaining to this law, verily, verily, I say unto you, I will reveal more unto you, hereafter; therefore, let this suffice for the present. Behold, I am Alpha and Omega. Amen.

1981 edition:

1—6, Exaltation is gained through the new and everlasting covenant;

7—14, The terms and conditions of that covenant are set forth;

15—20, Celestial marriage and a continuation of the family unit enable men to become gods;

21—25, The strait and narrow way that leads to eternal lives;

26—27, Law given relative to blasphemy against the Holy Ghost;

28—39, Promises of eternal increase and exaltation made to prophets and saints in all ages;

40—47, Joseph Smith is given the power to bind and seal on earth and in heaven;

48—50, The Lord seals upon him his exaltation;

51—57, Emma Smith is counseled to be faithful and true;

58—66, Laws governing the plurality of wives are set forth.

Did you catch it? Celestial Marriage is Plurality of Wives! The Mormon Church has never, ever stopped practicing their law that applies to polygamy or plurality of wives as that is what Celestial Marriage (The New and Everlasting Covenant) is!

Did you notice that the marriage sealing ceremony not only continues the practice of polygamy, and, because of the covenant of the Law of Consecration, married you to the church and it’s commandments by covenant, not each other?

BEWARE: Demand full disclosure for informed consent. You won’t get it from the Mormon Church, so do your own research.

I doubt most LDS couples recognize and understand that they married in to plurality of wives when they were sealed in the temple.

The actual sealing ceremony takes place in a sealing room off of the Celestial Room in the temple. Attendees must have a valid temple recommend and be invited. They may dress in white or in Sunday Best.

This is how it is done in the US. In England, for instance, the marriage part is performed in a chapel (or elsewhere) by a presiding authority (usually a bishop) with an official government recorder of some sort in attendance. Attendees are invited, no temple recommend required. The sealing ceremony is performed in the temple at a later time either that day or another day.

32From a letter to a Mormon lady, “-if thou wilt only abide by and walk in a celestial law, fulfill the designs of thy Creator and hold out to the end that when mortality is laid in the tomb, you may go down to your grave in peace, arise in glory, and receive your everlasting reward in the resurrection of the just, along with thy head and husband. Thou wilt be permitted to pass by the Gods and angels who guard the gates, and onward, upward to thy exaltation in a celestial world among the Gods. To be a priestess queen upon thy Heavenly Father’s throne, and a glory to thy husband and offspring, to bear the souls of men, to people other worlds while eternity goes and eternity comes; and if you will receive it, lady, this is eternal life. Hence, thine origin, the object of thy ultimate destiny. If faithful, lady, the cup is within thy reach; drink then the heavenly draught and live.” – John Taylor, third president of the Mormon Church.

33“In the divine economy, as in nature, the man ‘is the head of the woman,’ and it is written that ‘he is the savior of the body.’ But ‘the man is not without the woman’ any more than the woman is without the man, in the Lord. Adam was first formed, then Eve. In the resurrection, they stand side by side and hold dominion together. Every man who overcomes all things and is thereby entitled to inherit all things, receives power to bring up his wife to join him in the possession and enjoyment thereof.” – ‘Mormon’ Doctrine Plain and Simple, or Leaves from the Tree of Life, by Apostle Charles W. Penrose, 1897. “Do the women, when they pray, remember their husbands?… Do you uphold your husband before God as your lord? ‘What!–my husband to be my lord?’ I ask, Can you get into the celestial kingdom without him? Have any of you been there? You will remember that you never got into the celestial kingdom [during the temple ceremony] without the aid of your husband. If you did, it was because your husband was away, and some one had to act proxy for him. No woman will get into the celestial kingdom, except her husband receives her, if she is worthy to have a husband; and if not, somebody will receive her as a servant.” – as Mormon Apostle Erastus Snow preached Sunday, Oct. 4, 1857. Journal of Discourses, vol. 5, page 291.

THREE BAPTISMS

baptism jesus

“ In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 2  And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 3:1-2…And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 11  I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: 12  Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. 13  Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. 14  But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15  And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.” Matthew 3:10-15.

The first important point we should notice is the gospel preached by John the Baptist, and the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the Kingdom of Heaven Gospel. There is a difference between the Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom of God, and the church, the body of Christ. Now, you can have the Kingdom of God, and the body of Christ without the Kingdom of heaven. But, you cannot have the Kingdom of Heaven or the body of Christ without the Kingdom of God.

John was offering both, the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God to Israel. The Kingdom of Heaven was the earthly kingdom promises to Israel throughout the Old Testament.  Unless they truly repented, and remained faithful, they could not have the Kingdom of Heaven. It was now time to repent and make ready for the King. The time had finally arrived.

That explains why there is never a word in the gospel they preached, about His coming death and resurrection. John was not preparing the nation for His death, but for His Messianic reign. Thus, all three baptisms have some bearing on the Kingdom of Heaven rule on earth.

First, there is the baptism of Jesus. John did not know that his cousin, Jesus, was Israel’s Messiah. He was told that he would know Him when he baptized Him.

Our Lord’s baptism not only revealed Him to John, but was also the Lord’s approval and identification with John’s intended ministry. It is very significant that Jesus was thirty years old when He was baptized. This fact gives additional meaning to the statement, “for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.”

John’s message was in line with the Old Testament prophets. It was “Turn or burn.” When John used the metaphor of an ax laid at the root of the tree, or a floor cleaned of chaff to be burned, he was speaking directly to the nation of near and impending judgment if they did not repent. This is the baptism of fire to which he alluded. This baptism of fire will be fully realized in the Tribulation. By the time we get to the end of Acts, it is evident that the nation would not repent.

The third baptism was also a point of Old Testament prophecy for Israel. It is called a “pouring,” or a “falling.” “And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.” Joel 2:29.  “For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:” Isaiah 44:3. “(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them :…)” Acts 8:16.

This baptism is also associated with the Kingdom of Heaven, and these events were the first installment of the promises. These three baptisms were all part of the Kingdom of Heaven gospel. Nothing in the context has any connection to the church, the Body of Christ. No one today is baptized with fire, or WITH the Spirit. The baptism today is BY the Spirit, INTO the person of Christ. “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” Galatians 3:27. “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?” Romans 6:3.
