ANOTHER DAY’S GRACE; ANOTHER DAY’S GROANING

September 16, 2010 by Ken Blue

By Ken Blue

From Romans 8:17-25

 His children are heirs, who suffer with Him;

 Sustained by the glory, awaiting them.

The whole creation now groaning in pain;

And all His saints experience the same.

His grace is sufficient while they travail;

Awaiting redemption from bodies frail.

Another day of grace, they live to see;

Another day’s groaning to be set free!

Hope now sustains them; their bondage He’ll break.

 All works together for good and their sake.

IF GOD HAD THREE DAUGHTERS

August 20, 2010 by Ken Blue

By Ken Blue

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” 1 Corinthians 13:13.

If God had three daughters,
Their names, I think, would be;
Faith;  Hope; and Charity.

Faith shows us how to believe all God has said.
Hope embraces promises reserved just up ahead.
Charity’s always adding her love to these.
And I thank God for Faith, Hope, and Charity.

Faith sees the invisible; and what God can do.
Hope embraces promises awaiting me and you.
Charity helps create a Christ-likeness in me.
And the greatest of gifts, is that of Charity.

Sacrifice and service is all vain without these.
Bodies burned; applause earned; no reward shall there be.
Motive is what matters, motive is what God sees;
Faith and Hope are given meaning through Charity.

If God had three daughters,
Their names, I think, would be;
Faith; Hope; and Charity.

THE RAPTURE OF THE SAINTS

July 16, 2010 by Ken Blue

By Ken Blue

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.  O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:51-57.

Oh death, where is thy sting? Where is thy victory?
Christ fulfilled the law’s demands; from death, hath set us free!

Oh grave, where are thy captives; where’s the conquered prey?
Christ prevailed over you, on resurrection day!

Hold firmly your confidence; hold fast to your faith?
Christ triumphed over all; so in your patience wait.

Glorious reunion day! The mystery’s made known.
Calling all His saints, in a rush, they’re ushered home!

Changed in a moment that no mortal eye can see,
Freed from corruption; in His likeness forever be!

MOTIVATION

June 9, 2010 by Ken Blue

By Ken Blue

It was dark that evening; he was tired and weary,
So he took a shortcut through the old cemetery.

A freshly dug grave was open that day;
And unseen by him, lie in his pathway.

He stumbled and tumbled, falling head over heal;
The darkness was thick; was the kind you can feel.

Unbeknownst to him, another man was there,
And in that darkness, the same fate did share.

The first traveler observed, aware of his plight;
Would wait in the corner until mornings first light.

The second traveler leaped, and down he would skid.
“Can’t get out, can you?” said a voice; ah, but he did!

So if you feel trapped in your hopeless plight,
Remember the man, in his darkest night.

An anonymous voice may motivate you;
You’ll be surprised what you’re able to do.

WHEN ISRAEL’S BLINDNESS IS OVER

May 8, 2010 by Ken Blue

By Ken Blue

“ For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:” Romans 11:25-26.
(From Isaiah 53)

The prophet foresaw Israel’s blindness, concerning their coming King.
He was too comely for their pride; and the salvation He would bring.

Rejected and unknown; holding no beauty for blinded eyes.
Blindness continues to this day; as Jesus goes unrecognized.

Set aside temporally; scattered throughout distant lands,
While God builds His mystery church; Scripture calls “one new man.”

When the last soul has been added, to the one Body of Christ
Israel’s program starts again; to their land they’ll be enticed.

When they are back in their land, they will know He was the Christ.
And the Lamb they led to slaughter; was sins ultimate price.

When their blindness has been removed, their Scriptures they’ll understand;
And see the One dying on the tree, was God’s perfected plan.

Israel will then be converted; their nation will be born again
When ask, “Whence those wounds?” He’ll say, “These I received in the house of My friends.”

O glorious day is coming, when Israel regains her sight!
Earth will be filled with His presence, the nations will walk in His light!
