ASTEROID CRASHES LIKELY GAVE EARTH ITS WATER

Note: If you have not read a comic book or Mad Magazine lately, the following ought to suffice.  

This is a scientific (?)  guess how water arrived on planet earth. It was published on the Fox Web News.

 “Asteroids from the the inner solar system are the most likely source of the majority of Earth’s water, a new study suggests. The results contradict prevailing theories, which hold that most of our planet’s water originated in the outer solar system and was delivered by comets or asteroids that coalesced beyond Jupiter’s orbit, then migrated inward.

 “Our results provide important new constraints for the origin of volatiles in the inner solar system, including the Earth,” lead author Conel Alexander, of the Carnegie Institution of Washington, said in a statement. “And they have important implications for the current models of the formation and orbital evolution of the planets and smaller objects in our solar system.”

The 86 chondrite samples’ deuterium content — which the team gleaned from clays, the remnants of water ice — suggest the meteorites’ parent bodies formed relatively close to the sun, perhaps in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

Comets, by contrast, have much higher deuterium ratios. As a result, scientists think most of them were born in the solar system’s frigid outer reaches.

The isotopic composition of the bulk Earth appears to be more consistent with chondrites than with comets, researchers said. There are many different types of chondrites, and no single group is a perfect match. So our planet probably accreted its water and other volatiles from a variety of chondrite parent asteroids, they added.

 If the above “probabilities” were used in describing biblical archeology, history, linguistics, prophecy, and inspiration, one would be laughed off the stage. We refrain, because we have heard this comedy many times. We wonder why the asteroids have stopped bringing the water. We sure could use it in the Midwest.

“And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.  And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.  Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.  Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.  Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.  Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. his chapter is parenthetical and answers the question asked in chapter 6:17. The sealed ones are able to stand! John’s attention is now brought back to the earth where this scene takes place, prior to the Day of the Lord or before the opening of the first seal. The information here is part of the first looping parallelism; it takes us back to the beginning. The Tribulation is not underway prior to the sealing of the 144,000.

      The four angels standing at the four corners of the earth hold back the four winds so they cannot blow. These winds are symbolic of the judgment about to be unleashed under the seals, the trumpets, and the vials. (See Jeremiah 49:36; Daniel 7:2; 8:8.)  Not a leaf is disturbed while God’s servants are sealed for protection against the Beast and his armies.

      While the winds are restrained, another angel is summoned from the east with the seal of the Living God, with which he seals 144,000 of the twelve tribes of Israel. “East” speaks of those countries east of Jerusalem and is associated with the rising sun. The angel is sent by God from heaven to seal the 144,000. What the significance of it coming from the East is, we are not told. Perhaps it is the direction from which the Messiah will come.

      Chapter 14:1 tells us what the seal is. It is a seal of protection and ownership. It may be visible to man, although it need not be. The “locusts” of chapter 9:4 are able to identify those who have it.

      The sealed remnant cannot be killed. They will overcome all of Satan’s attacks and will be God’s mighty men during the Day of the Lord. If Luke 10:19 is to be taken literally, then it must apply to the 144,000. “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”   

      There are those who believe this remnant will preach the Gospel of the Kingdom throughout the earth and will perform miracles in Jesus’ name during that time. Like John the Baptist, they will be Christ’s forerunners who warn men of the wrath to come and to prepare for the King and His Kingdom.  If these survive the Day of the Lord and enter the Kingdom in natural bodies, we must assume that some women also are associated with them, or some other group. The Scriptures are unclear on this matter.

       Two of the original tribes are noticeably absent; they are Dan and Ephraim.Levi and Joseph take their place here. Most commentators believe these two tribes introduced idolatry into Israel and that is why they are not sealed (Deuteronomy 29:18-21). However, both tribes do enter the Tribulation and survive to have a possession in the Kingdom. (See Ezekiel 40:31, 46; 48:1-2, 32.) It is obvious that some, who are not sealed, will also survive the Tribulation and enter the Kingdom in their natural bodies. Women also must survive in order for the continued propagation of these twelve tribes.

Americans are still in shock and disbelief that the young man, James E. Holmes with perfect grades and no history of mental illness, could have committed the horrific crimes of attempted genocide in a theater and at his home in Aurora, Co. The pundits and counselors are confident that he must be insane; to conclude otherwise would force one to admit that he was just plain evil. However, the word “evil” has some suggestion of morality or of right and wrong. To go there is getting too close to something that might suggest a moral standard giver like God. So, they choose shock and disbelief.

 The anti-gun liberals are quick to penalize all Americans by taking away another constructional right from them. They will exploit this crime until the last drop can be twisted from it too take guns from all Americans. This is their agenda. So, is there another solution that is sure to work that the liberals purposefully ignore?

The Bible has always had the correct answer to the crime of murder. We are aware that the anti-gun crowd is also anti-Bible. Well, we are against all those who exploit every crime to take away our constructional rights! What does the Bible say a nation should do to those who purposefully murder others? We shall see.

Exodus 20:13 “Thou shalt not kill.”

Exodus 21:12-14 “He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death…14 But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.”

Numbers 35:30 “Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.”

Numbers 35:31 “Moreover ye shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.”

Romans 13:1,4 “ Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God…4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.”

The purpose of the death penalty is the exercise of justice. It also rids the land of those who murder others, and it sends a message to all who would commit murder. If you murder someone you will pay with your own life. This will not stop all murder. However, those executed will not kill again, and most of those who consider it will have something to think about.

This verse is the heart of the whole matter.  Ecclesiastes 8:11 “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”

Over the years I have done extensive research on the claims of those who say they have the gifts of healing, miracles, and tongues. In addition, I mailed a questionnaire to several Pentecostal Pastors in the area, containing 32 questions. Their responses aided in the writing of my book, Why Bible Believers Do Not Speak In Tongues.

I have posted the book title on my blog page, and it has prompted several who claim the gifts to respond, and try to convince me to seek the Holy Ghost, and speak in an unknown tongue. The following is a recent correspondence with a deceived Charismatic on this subject.

 “The Baptism of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues is to all who believe. I believe – I have received.”

My response: How do you know you have? Do you know what you said? Also, all tongues were known languages. You assume you have spoken is tongues because you believe you have. Because you believe you have something does not make it so. Again, faith must be based on the Word of God, rightly divided. Where did God tell you that you were filled with the Holy Ghost, and were speaking in another language? What language was it. All the tongues in the Bible were known languages.

 “Would you be willing to send me a free copy of your book?”

 My response: No problem, give me a mailing address. (No address was ever sent.)

 “The more I think about it Bro Blue the more I realize – Yes I had to believe to receive – and God did baptize me with the Holy Ghost – and I KNOW (not just believe) but KNOW for a fact I do have the Holy Ghost and tongues is the evidence.

I don’t have the gift of divers tongues but I have the language that God gave me and because I have it God knows what I am saying through the spirit.”For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries”; (1 Cor. 14:2). You can say and believe what you want – and as I said God will not force any one. He does want you to be filled – I don’t care how much you studied – talked to others – I will Stand on what I know to be True. I Have the Indwelling of the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues as the spirit give utterance.”

My response: First of all, your interpretation of I Cor. 14:2 is wrong. Since God understands all languages, why would He need you to speak to Him in a tongue which is not a known language?  I pastored for 40 years, and had members from all different countries. To illustrate the verse you used, I ask a specific person to come to the pulpit and lead in prayer in their native tongue. Now, they were praying to God, both God and the speaker understood what was being said. However, no one else in the service understood them.  It was a MYSTERY! Thus, 5 words understood by others would be better than 10,000 in their native tongue, unless someone interpreted it into English. Paul is never suggesting that he DID NOT KNOW WHAT HE WAS SAYING. Again, all you have is an experience, and you BELIEVE it was proof that you were filled with the Spirit. Nothing could be further from the TRUTH. I challenge you to read my recent article and answer the questions.  WHY YOU HAVE NOT SPOKEN IN TONGUES

Note: I was sent an audio by this Charismatic demonstrating his gift of tongues, and praying for me to speak in tongues. I am not sure if he was praying to God or to me. If he was praying to God, the only reason he would send me the prayer was so he could demonstrate that he spoke in tongues. Proof was lacking. He said, “Please listen to the attached Prayer.”

My response: I did listen to your prayer. As I said earlier, when God tells me to speak in tongues, I will. I get the impression that you are more in love with a feeling or experience than you are the Word or the Lord. You obviously did not go to my web page and consider what was said. If you did, it is proof that you are deceiving yourself. Look at the challenge and try again. I pray that God will open your eyes to the TRUTH.

“I love you Pastor Blue – May God Bless!! This correspondence with you is what has been an experience.”

Note: I do not doubt the sincerity of this young man. However, like all Charismatics, they believe an experience above the Scriptures. If you told me a pink elephant walked across your bed last night, there is no way for me to convince you otherwise. You will notice that this young man refused to allow me to send my book, and if he read the blog on tongues, he refused the challenge. Tongues, in the Bible, were foreign languages, and no one has the miracle of speaking in them today. They must attend language school, or spend time within that culture.
