THE ADVANTAGE AND DISADVANTAGE OF RECEIVING THE MARK OF THE BEAST

October 26, 2010 by Ken Blue

THINGS TO PONDER ABOUT THE MARK OF THE BEAST

By Ken Blue

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16-17.

The world of technology has arrived at a place, that not even the unbeliever would doubt the possibility of an implanted chip capable of containing everything about you from your DNA to your shopping habits. I believe that day is upon us, and it will be an easy sell to those who receive it. In fact, some form of universal identification will seem to be the most sensible thing to do, considering the state of the world.

Here are some advantages of receiving the mark:

  1. You will be able to buy food if it is available.
  2. You won’t get lost. The chip will have a built-in tracking system.
  3. You never have to worry about someone stealing your identity.
  4. Society will be cashless; you won’t have to worry about someone robbing you.
  5. All medical records will be on the chip. This will make universal health care more accessible to you.
  6. You won’t have to worry about bank records. Your allotment will be automatically credited to your chip number.
  7. You won’t need credit cards or cash, scanners will automatically subtract from your account.
  8. There will be no need for greed since this new system will “give to everyone according to their needs, and demand from everyone according to their ability.”

The disadvantage of receiving the mark:

  1. You go to hell!
  2. See number one!

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:9-11.

THE FIVE SUCCESSIONS OF JUDGMENT-#3, 4

October 23, 2010 by Ken Blue

JudgmentBy Ken Blue
# 3 and 4.

In Leviticus 26 we find the five successions of judgment promised on Israel and their land if they refused to obey God and walk in His Law. Their history is one sad failure after another. In verse 21 and 22 we see that the judgments increase in severity. This is a promise of judgment upon the land, and attacks on the people by wild beast.

“And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.” (Lev. 26:21-22).

This judgment comes under the prophetic ministry of Elisha. It is in 2 Kings 1-10:31. Not only did Elisha call for a drought on the land, God sent wild beast to afflict Israel. Early in his ministry we see this judgment. “And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.” 2 Kings 2:24. The lack of rain and the parched earth brought death to many in Israel. The apostasy of Israel and their continued rebellion against the Word of the Lord brought to fulfillment Leviticus 26:21-22.

The forth judgment resulted in greater oppression by Israel’s enemies, and the occupation of their land with lengthy and persistent sieges. (Lev. 26:23-26), “ And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.”

This judgment covers the period of 2 Kings 10:32-16:20. Session four continues up to the Assyrian and Babylon captivities. “ And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.” Leviticus 26:23-26.

IS CHINA LINKING UP WITH MUSLIM NATIONS AGAINST ISRAEL

CHINA AND ARMAGEDDON

Chinese warplanes make Mid East debut in Turkey and Iran
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report October 12, 2010, 3:33 PM (GMT+02:00)
Chinese Air Force Su-27 warplane.

“The arrival of a new Middle East player startled Washington and Jerusalem: debkafile’s military sources disclose that when Turkish Prime Minister Tayyep Erdogan met Syrian president Bashar Assad in Damascus Monday, Oct. 11, they talked less about the Kurdish question and more about the role China is willing to play in the military-intelligence alliance binding Syria, Iran and Turkey.

Erdogan took the credit for China’s unfolding involvement in the alliance in the role of big-power backer. Two recent events illustrate Beijing’s intent: 1. From Sept. 20 to Oct. 6, the Turkish Air Force conducted its regular annual Anatolian Eagle exercise, this time without US and Israeli participation. Israel was not invited and America opted out. However, their place was taken by Chinese Sukhoi Su-27 and Mig-29 warplanes making their first appearance in Turkish skies.

Our military sources report that the Chinese warplanes began touching down at the big Konya air base in central Turkey in mid-September for their debut performance in the Middle East and Europe.

2. Our sources add that the Chinese planes refueled only once on their journey to Turkey in… Iran. When they touched down at the Gayem al-Mohammad airbase in central Iran, their crews were made welcome by the Iranian air force commander General Ahmad Migani.

It was the first time Chinese fighter-bombers are known to have visited the Islamic Republic.

The Gayem al-Mohammed facility, located near the town of Birjand in South Khorasan, is situated directly opposite the big American base of East Afghanistan near the Afghan-Iranian border town of Herat.

The Turkish prime minister painted the military alliance binding Tehran, Ankara and Damascus in rosy colors for Assad’s benefit as more central to the region and more powerful than Israel’s armed forces after overcoming the IDF’s military edge.”

“And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” Revelation 16:12. It has long been believed that China will be one of the players in the battle of Armageddon. The above could be the beginning of her alliance with the Muslim nations to attack Israel.

PASS THE BUCKETS AND PRAY

October 17, 2010 by Ken Blue

Prayer and activity go hand in hand.

By Ken Blue

“It is recorded of D. L. Moody that, upon one of his journeys across the Atlantic there was a fire in the hold of the ship. The crew and some volunteers stood in line to pass buckets of water. A friend said to Moody, ‘Mr. Moody, let us go to the other end of the ship, and engage in prayer.’ The common-sense evangelist replied, ‘Not so, sir; we stand right here and pass buckets and pray hard all the time.’ How like Moody this was! He believed that prayer and work were the two hands of the one person: that they should never be separated.—Christian Herald (London).” There is the attitude among some that the less organized the work, the more spiritual one is.

Some time ago I wrote an article about plans and methods to reach a larger segment of one’s community. In that article I failed to mention the Holy Spirit. I receive a scathing response reprimanding me of the omission. Of course the respondent does not, and never has pastored a church, nor did he give his name. Typically, he was fresh out of Bible College; Wasp are always largest when first hatched.

I remember one of my Bible teachers telling us, “If you think yelling ‘amen’ in this class will give you a passing grade, you are in for a big surprise. I expect you to study and get a passing grade.” I discovered that he meant exactly what he said.

[pullquote align=”right” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]Activity is never an excuse to neglect prayer, nor is prayer an excuse to not work your smartest[/pullquote]

Prayer should precede everything. It is wise to pray before you answer your phone. You would think this would be understood, and I think the mature believer does. I am confident that neither writer nor reader prays enough. The Scriptures are clear on the subject of prayer. We need to pray more.

Now, I do not mean any disrespect by the following, but you can pray till you are blue in the face; and God will not mow your lawn for you. He will not sing in the choir, teach a Bible class, clean the buildings, wash the windows, preach the sermon, organize the ministry of your church, or drive a church bus. These, and many other things, are the practical side of the ministry, and must be done by men and women with understanding.

You don’t have to set down the bucket to pray while fighting a fire; pray and grab another bucket. Activity is never an excuse to neglect prayer, nor is prayer an excuse to not work your smartest; they are the two hands of the one person.

MY DAD

October 11, 2010 by Ken Blue

Cheston G. Davis

Some of you were made aware of the discovery about my biological father, half brothers and sisters, last winter. I was able to meet with one brother and two sisters in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. What a wonderful reunion that was for me!

I was never able to see my father or a picture of him during his lifetime. I was led to believe, when I was a child, that he was not alive. However, this picture was forwared to me by one of my brothers. I have an article on the web site titled, The Final Chapter.

I don’t expect this to be of much interest to many of you, but to me it is a great discovery. I would like for you to rejoice with me. I loved my brothers and sisters the first time I met them and spoke with them. They returned that love to me. I regret I never met my father. But, God is so good to me in allowing me to know this family of mine. Also, many of them are saved and know the Lord. Well, GLORY!
