God and Goal Setting

YouTube AUDIO SERMON: God and Goal Setting

If a Christian is going to have new excitement continually coming, he is going to have to set some goals. These goals must be God honoring goals that require some work and digging into the Bible.  Unfortunately, the average Christian is too lazy to dig for new information.  They would rather have their spiritual diet handed to them on a silver platter.

Paul speaks about elders who labored in doctrine (1 Tim. 5:17).  These were those who dug deep into learning about God, so much so that they were considered to be laboring at it. When they did so, the Bible remained exciting and alive to them.  To do this, they did some goal setting.  This allowed them to stay on track.

All too often Christians find themselves haphazardly studying God’s word.  They have a desire to learn, but they are just feeding off of crumbs that they find here and there.  They don’t really get a full meal.  They don’t get satisfied.  In fact, they get frustrated and give up.  What they have failed to do is to set some goals.  (You can’t accomplish anything if you don’t have anything to accomplish).

Every Christian should use some form of goal setting for their approach at studying God’s word.  In this AUDIO SERMON, Dr. Blue speaks about the importance and methods of goal setting.  If you have a desire to keep the Bible fresh and exciting, if you desire to stop eating milk and start eating some meat, you can learn how to use goal setting to create a plan tailored just for you.

The number one purpose of Jesus

October 15, 2015 by Ken Blue

The number one purpose of JesusJesus came to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:10).  His mission is to find His lost sheep and carry them back into the fold.  He wanted to get people to see others who were lost and work on bringing them into the fold.

Through parables He teaches this great doctrine and many do not understand.  They blindly go through life living the “religious” experience enjoying what God can do for them rather than what they can do for God and others.  They are like modern day pharisees. The Pharisees sought self promotion rather than the souls of men.  They didn’t care about sinners.  The truth of the matter is that they were motivated by the praise of men rather than the exaltation of God.

Jesus was not like this.  Neither did He teach that any of His disciples be like this.  He taught something very different from this.  In fact, the number one purpose of Jesus was winning the lost.  He did not seek personal exaltation.  He cared for lost souls.

This AUDIO sermon will help you gain valuable knowledge on this subject: WHAT WAS JESUS’ #1 PURPOSE

Satan and his angels

October 15, 2015 by Ken Blue

Satan and his angels

Have you ever wondered where demons come from?  Did God make them?  How can a perfect God make anything so wicked? What is their purpose?  This audio sermon addresses the fall of Satan and his followers (Isaiah 14:12-14).

Dr. Blue shows us that there is a spiritual battle going on and mankind is caught in the midst of that war.  The war is between the Lord and His angels and the Devil and his angels.

Satan believes he is the owner of this world.  He is very serious about this war.  His demon kingdom is very well organized and his end objective is to have everyone fall down and worship him.

Demons exist in society today, but because of our society of science and enlightenment, Christians are reluctant to talk about them.

This audio sermon exposes the truth about them.

WHAT INSPIRATION OF SCRIPTURE DOES NOT MEAN

October 15, 2015 by Ken Blue

By Ken Blue

2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

There are many who relegate the inspiration of Scripture to the original autographs only, and that it could not exist beyond them. However, able scholars and those who understand the Scriptural meaning of the word put that little child to bed long ago.

Biblical inspiration means that all Scripture is God-breathed. Young Timothy did not have, nor had he ever seen any of the original Scriptures. Yet, the Scriptures he had were given by inspiration, and he had “known them from a child.” 2 Timothy 3:15 “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” Notice that he knew “the holy scriptures…” And, if all SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, what he had must have been inspired scripture! We also believe we have the inspired scriptures in the King James English Bible.

Inspiration of scripture means that the words give to the writers were given by God and are a true account of what is written. However, inspiration does not mean that everything that is written was truth. There are many examples of this. “We find lies of Satan and men; false doctrines; and many sins listed in Scripture.  Inspiration simply guarantees that these lies were actually told; these fallacies were taught by certain men; and that these crimes were committed, but it does not make these lies and fallacies the truth or place God’s sanction upon the crimes.  One must find out whether Satan, evil men, or God is speaking in Scripture.  God is not responsible for what others have said just because He causes what they did say to be recorded by inspiration.  All God guarantees is that these things were said and done as they are recorded.  Only what God says or teaches is truth which He requires men to obey.” Dake Topical Index. We should add, believers are only required to obey what God says for those in this dispensation. We must know what truth is for today.

Inspiration of the Scriptures is not difficult to prove. In fact, there is more proof for the inspiration of the Bible than there is that George Washington or the Nebraska Man ever existed. Timothy held in his hand the inspired, Holy Scriptures; so can we.

The Classification of Angels

The names of angels are significant.  They give insight into their ministries in association with God’s presence.
