BIBLE DOERS VS BIBLE POSSESSORS

By Ken Blue
Most of our readers understand that KJV stands for the King James Bible. I am a KJV believer, and I also desire to lives by its teachings. Open door Baptist uses, believes, and teaches the King James Bible. However, it is somewhat amusing to hear some say of others; “He is not a Bible Believer.” The delusion is that possession of the KJV is synonymous with obeying its teachings. The truth is, if you don’t obey it, you don’t believe it, regardless of what you call yourself. Some, who possess the Bible, are critical of their pastor, they do not following his leadership, nor do they tithe. Some do not attend church regularly or support the ministries of the church. I know others who cannot follow any man. They start a little Bible study in their home with their wife and other rebels. More than one pastor has told me, “no one can pastor this little group of men who think an infallible Book makes them infallible. They are too proud to follow anyone.” Thankfully, only a few fit this description. Most Bible believers are dedicated servants and love the Lord. The Gentiles, who lived right and did not have a Bible, were more pleasing to God than those Jews who had the originals and disobeyed them. I can say with assurance that those believers, who carry other versions, and live righteously, are more pleasing to God than one who does not practice the teachings of any Bible he professes. (Romans 2:24-29). If you cannot or will not follow your pastor, get right, or get out! You don’t need to cause trouble or split a church to get attention. Go start your own church; at least 20 miles away, and you will discover what it is like to have people who will not follow you. That is the only way some people learn. But for the sake of the Word and those who believe it; if you aren’t going to live it, don’t profess that you believe it.
