I have a question about John, the Baptist. He, apparently, had more revelation from God than any of the other disciples. I base that on his proclamation that the Lord Jesus was “The Lamb of God.” That implies that he knew that Jesus would be a sacrifice. John was way ahead of the others about that.

The Bible says there was none greater than he (Matt 11:11, Lk 7:28.

So….why did he have to ask the LORD Jesus if he were the one or should they look for another? Mt. 1:3, Luke 7:19-20?????

Was he perhaps trying to get the other disciples to see the truth of the matter? or was he not certain.
    Thanks,
    Lynne
